Moldovan sparkling wine

KAVI is the sparkling wine of the Doina Vin winery: a brut rosé made from Fetească Neagră, from the 2025 vintage, with the Protected Geographical Indication Codru. It is made by the Charmat method.

In the glass it is pale pink with currant glints and a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose: fresh red fruit, raspberry and rose petals.

Serve it chilled, at 6–8 °C. It is 11.5% vol and comes in a 750 ml bottle. The name comes from Sanskrit, where “kavi” means poet, seer; the label and the tech sheet are on the KAVI page.
