From an 1875 cellar to a winery opening its doors
Doina Vin is the wine house Feodosie Borș founded in 1993 and named after his daughter. Its wine ages in a brick cellar in Răzeni, in the Codru wine region, about 30 km from Chișinău.
Now the winery is opening its doors: it welcomes visitors to the cellar, sells its wines online and has put two new lines on sale, while the Goliard line won a silver medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards in both 2025 and 2026. The story follows below, chapter by chapter.

I · Origins
A cellar and a family
In Răzeni, in the Codru wine region, an underground brick-vaulted cellar is still used to age the wine; according to the family’s records, it dates from 1875. The company that carries it forward was founded by Feodosie Borș and registered on 20 December 1993; it bears the name of his daughter, Doina, and a doina is also the folk song of longing and love.

The cellar has remained the heart of the house. Everything we offer today has grown around it.

Wines, houses and visitors
Today the winery’s shop holds 68 wines from 14 brands and the new KAVI and MOG lines. The vineyards lie in the Codru region, one of Moldova’s three protected geographical indications for wine (source: Wine of Moldova).
The houses in the portfolio
6N Collection, Arborele, Artitude, Balsam de Galiția, BonaFlores, Château d’Étoile, Châteaux de Brua, Dolofana de la Prut, Goliard, LifWin, Lucky, Pastoral, Perla Neagră, Vinum Aurum.
The PGI Codru lines
The Codru protected geographical indication applies to wines of the Artitude, Perla Neagră and Goliard lines (as labelled); the other lines are produced in the Republic of Moldova.
The Artitude labels
For every vintage, the Artitude label is created by an artist from Moldova: Olesea Caus for the 2015 vintage, Mihai Ungureanu for 2016 and Mihaela Lungu for 2017.
Visits
Next to the cellar, a tasting hall welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 19:00, by advance reservation. Visits are held in Romanian, Russian or English, from a tour and tasting to a meal and wines to take home as a gift.
A wine is judged at the table, but also by international juries and critics. Here is what they said.

In the press
Since 2017 the trade press has written about the winery: Wine and Spirits, ModernBuyer, Fine Wine, Agrobiznes, Meininger’s International. In 2023 Fine Wine visited the cellar during its restoration, and in 2025 Logos Press named Doina Vin among the 20 grantees of the GROW Moldova domestic-tourism programme.
The medals speak for the wines made so far. The next chapter shows what we are building right now.

What we are building now
The cellar and the wines stay the same. What changes is how they reach people: at the winery, online and, for the Goliard line, in new markets.
Wine tourism
Cellar visits are booked directly on this site, and the winery’s semi-enclosed terrace is being glazed in 2026.
The online shop
The winery’s wines are ordered on this site, delivered by Nova Post to a branch or to the door, and paid on delivery or by bank transfer.
The new KAVI and MOG lines
Now on sale: KAVI, a sparkling wine, and MOG, a light aromatic wine with reduced alcohol, in a slim can.
Goliard, towards new markets
The Doina Vin profile published by Invest Moldova names Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom as the target export markets for the Goliard line, which won silver at the Decanter World Wine Awards in 2025 and 2026.
Recognition
Doina Vin has received a non-repayable wine-tourism grant from the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) (contract TUR/26-168-95 of 30 April 2026). The grant supports the glazing of the terrace and the winery’s digital platform.
Behind every chapter are people: those who started the house and those who carry it forward.
