Dolofana de la Prut in Romania: Profi and Mega Image
The two wines
Dolofana de la Prut has two medium sweet wines at 12% vol, in 750 ml bottles: Merlot, a red wine, and Muscat Ottonel, a white wine. They are varietal wines of the Republic of Moldova. On the Profi shelf they are called “Dolofana De La Prut Vin Rosu Dd Merlot 12% 0.75L” and “Dolofana De La Prut Vin Alb Dd Muscat 12% 0.75L” (Dd stands for demidulce, medium sweet), and their EAN codes are 5948688043344 (Merlot) and 5948688043375 (Muscat Ottonel).
The back label carries a verse, “Dulce-i vinul, dulce-i vinul, dar mai dulce-i mândra mea” (“Sweet is the wine, sweet is the wine, but sweeter is my beloved”), and a map of Moldova and Romania with the river Prut between them. It also says who makes the wine and who brings it into Romania: producer Doina Vin SRL, importer Profi Rom Food S.R.L., Timișoara.
